By the team at TV Mounts & Mounting Service • 10+ years mounting TVs across Miami-Dade
I’ve been mounting TVs in Miami for over 10 years. In that time I’ve done jobs in brand-new Brickell high-rises, older homes in Coral Gables, vacation rentals in Miami Beach, and everything in between. I’ve also been called in to fix a lot of jobs that went wrong — TVs mounted too high, cables left dangling, walls cracked because someone didn’t know what they were drilling into.
If you’re trying to figure out what TV mounting actually costs in Miami, this is the guide I wish existed when I started. No vague ranges, no “call for a quote.” Just an honest look at what the market looks like, what drives prices up or down, and what you should expect from a service that’s worth hiring.
The price range for TV mounting in Miami is wider than most people expect, and the reason isn’t complexity — it’s transparency. Or the lack of it.
At the low end, you’ll find handyman services advertising $40 or $50 installs on social media and Craigslist. That number almost never includes the mount itself, cable management, or any kind of warranty. I’ve seen what happens when those jobs go sideways, and the repair bill is always more than a proper installation would have cost in the first place.
In the middle of the market, most Miami TV mounting companies land somewhere between $150 and $300 for a standard job. That’s a reasonable range for professional work — but the catch is that the quote you get upfront rarely matches the invoice you see at the end. The mount isn’t included. Cable management is extra. The “standard” rate doesn’t apply because your building has concrete walls. I’ve heard this story from customers more times than I can count.
At the high end, AV installation companies that specialize in full home theater setups can charge $300 to $600 or more for a single TV. That level of service makes sense for a dedicated media room with custom wiring — it’s overkill for most residential jobs in Miami.
After 10 years in this industry, the single biggest complaint I hear from new customers is: ‘I wasn’t told it would cost that much.’ Hidden fees are the norm in this business, not the exception.
This is the biggest factor. Larger TVs need heavier mounts, more precise alignment, and sometimes a second pair of hands to lift safely.
Across the Miami market, prices for a standard install typically scale with screen size — smaller sets in the 21–40" range usually run anywhere from $50 to $120, mid-size TVs between 41–70" tend to land in the $75–$200 range, and larger screens from 71" and up can push $130 to $320 or more depending on who you hire. That's a wide range, and it's intentional on the part of a lot of companies — the vagueness gives them room to move.
Our rates are fixed and published. A 21–30" install starts at $69. A 91–100" install is $139. Every size in between follows the same straightforward progression, and you can verify every number yourself with our pricing calculator before you book anything.
Miami is a unique market. New construction in Doral and parts of Kendall is standard drywall — straightforward. But older homes in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, and most high-rise condos throughout the city, have concrete or block walls. Mounting into concrete takes longer and requires different hardware. That should be reflected in the price — but what it should never do is surprise you on the day of the appointment. Any company worth hiring will ask about your wall type before they quote you.
There are three types worth knowing about:
Fixed — flat against the wall, most affordable. Best when your seating position is consistent. Rated up to 65”.
Full-motion — extends, tilts, and swivels. Great for open floor plans or corners. Also rated up to 65”.
Tilt — adjusts vertical angle only, works on any size TV up to 100”. Good for high placements like above a fireplace.
Mount type is worth thinking through before you book. The right fixed mount beats the wrong full-motion mount every time.
Cable concealment makes the biggest visual difference of any add-on. On drywall, cables run inside the wall completely out of sight. On concrete — common in Miami condos — surface covers are used instead, and when painted to match your wall, they’re nearly invisible. Soundbar installation, LED lighting, and floating shelves are all common additions that should always be itemized upfront, not added to your bill after the fact.
I’ve seen the tricks that give this industry a bad reputation. Here’s what to watch for:
If a company won’t show you any prices until you call, or until someone is already standing in your living room, that’s a deliberate strategy. Transparent businesses publish their rates. The “call for a quote” model is designed to create leverage before you know what you’re agreeing to.
The $49 TV mount you see advertised on Instagram almost never includes the mount hardware, cable management, or a warranty. By the time the job is done, that $49 is $220. Always ask what’s included before anyone shows up.
A TV falling off a wall can destroy furniture, damage the wall, and in a worst case hurt someone. Any professional service should carry liability insurance and back their work with at least a 90-day warranty. If they can’t confirm both, keep looking.
Miami has more concrete walls than almost anywhere else in Florida. A technician who doesn’t ask about your wall type before quoting you either doesn’t know what they’re doing or is planning to tack on a surcharge when they find out. Either way, not a great sign.
If I were a homeowner shopping for TV mounting in Miami, here’s what I’d want to see before handing anyone my business:
A way to see the full price before booking — ideally an online calculator, not a phone call
Itemized costs so you know what’s labor, what’s hardware, and what’s optional
A published starting price you can actually verify
No fees that appear only on the day of the job
Proof of insurance and a clear warranty
Experience with both drywall and concrete walls
When I started TV Mounts & Mounting Service, the thing that frustrated me most about the industry wasn’t the work — it was the opacity. Customers had no way to know what they’d pay until a technician was already in their home. That’s a bad dynamic, and I didn’t want to be part of it.
So we built a pricing calculator that shows you your exact total before you book. You choose your TV size, your mount type, and whatever add-ons you want. You get a real number — not a range, not an estimate that changes on arrival. The price in the calculator is the price you pay.
We start at $69 for a standard install. Every add-on is a fixed amount. No hidden fees, no surprises. We also carry full liability insurance and back every job with a 90-day warranty, because if something isn’t right, that’s on us to fix.
The goal was simple: give customers the same information I’d want if I were on the other side of the door.
We’ve been doing this since 2016. At this point the work is second nature, but the part I’m most proud of is that our customers know exactly what they’re getting before we ever show up.
We cover all of Miami-Dade — from Aventura down to Homestead, and everywhere in between. We do concrete walls, drywall, high-rise condos, single-family homes, and short-term rental properties. Same-day appointments are usually available, though they fill up fast.

Honestly, for most people in Miami, yes. Between the concrete walls in condos, HOA documentation requirements in a lot of buildings, and the real liability risk of a TV falling, the cost of professional installation is almost always worth it. I’ve re-done a lot of DIY jobs over the years. The repair almost always costs more than the original installation would have.
A standard drywall install runs about 45 minutes to an hour. Add cable concealment and you’re looking at another 30 to 45 minutes on top of that. Concrete takes a bit longer. We’ll give you a realistic time estimate when you build your quote.
Yes — it’s one of the most common jobs we do. We have the right equipment for concrete walls and can provide installation documentation for HOA sign-off if your building requires it.
We do package pricing for multi-TV jobs, which comes up a lot with vacation rentals and Airbnb properties in Miami. Build a quote online or reach out and we’ll put together a custom number.
If you’re ready to get your TV mounted, you can build your exact quote online — no phone call, no guessing. It takes about a minute.

No, a licensed electrician is needed for that. If you have a power outlet behind the tv, we can run the power to it. If not, we will make a 2-inch hole behind the TV and below, next to a power outlet in order to have the power cord run behind the wall and come out right next to the power outlet as pictured below.
Not if you purchase a complete TV installation package or a tv wire concealment service.
Two 2-inch holes are made (on drywall only) to run the cables from the tv to the nearest power outlet inside the wall where they are not visible.. The holes are covered with grommets to look nice.
If the cables cannot go behind the wall, they are run down over the wall and covered with a white plastic that can be painted the same color as the wall.
You can but you don’t have to. You can purchase a wall mount from us for your own convenience and our installer will take it to you the day of the installation.
Our professional installers have all the experience necessary to prevent any damage as much as possible. In the unforeseen case of an accident, our insurance will cover any damages.
Yes there are, but they are limited, book your appointment ASAP before availability runs out.

The cost depends on the size of the tv, the amount of tvs, the mount, and what other services you want to add.
